Clockwork Angel

Where there's our Will, there's a dozen angry girls claiming he's compromised their virtue.

Clockwork Angel written by Cassandra Clare is the wonderful first installment to The Infernal Devices series. I loved this novel it had action, romance and drama everything a good book should have! It was fast paced and easy to read. I had a standard for Clockwork Angel because it had worked up so much hype and it reached that standard and then some! ® Tessa Gray arrived to England expecting to be greeted by her loving older brother but all that went down hill. When she was instead greeted by a secrate world of warlocks, vampires and many other supernatural creatures. Tessa finds herself in a great deal of trouble and seeks help and refuge with the Shadowhunters -the good guys of London's Downworld- A group of  nephilim who are on a mission of ridding the world of demons.
I'm right if I say the sky is purple and made of hedgehogs.
Summary from book jacket:
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray arrives in England during the reign of Queen Victoria, something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Friendless and hunted, Tessa seeks refuge with the Shadowhunters, a band of warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons. Drawn ever deeper into their world, she finds herself fascinated by - and torn between - two best friends and quickly realizes that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.
